About This Location

Colorectal cancer is the third most common form of cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related death in the western world. More than 655,000 people worldwide die from this disease each year. Many of these deaths could be prevented with regular colon screenings and removal of polyps. Most cases occur between the ages of 50 and 70, while cases before the age of 50 are common if there is a family history of early colon cancer. Regular screenings after the age of 50 are an important tool to save lives.
